Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International airport, Buna Treks and Expeditions staff will receive you for short transfer in the heart of Kathmandu city to your respective hotels.
After a time for refreshment, our guide will brief with information regarding your trek and your times with us in Nepal includes welcome dinner in a pleasant authentic Nepalese Restaurants with cultural programs.
Day 02: Sightseeing tour and trek preparation.
Morning our city guide will pick you for a sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley, as Kathmandu although a metropolitan hub, but still retains its ancient culture and historical sites with World Heritage Sites includes ancient temples, monasteries, old king’s palaces after an interesting tour back to the hotel, preparation for Annapurna Tilicho Lake trekking.
Day 03: Drive to Jagat 1,450m – 07 hours journey.
Starting our marvelous Annapurna Tilicho Lake Trekking with an exciting overland drive towards west as the journey leads on Nepal’s main and busy highway, and then our drive leads the main road towards North West to follow Marysangdi River upstream past warm and scenic farm areas of Lamjung district and then reaching Syange village, where the rough roads climbs with views of waterfalls at Jagat a nice farm village with many good lodges for overnight stay.
Day 04: Trek to Dharapani 1,920 m – 05 hours.
Morning starting with the first-day walk of our adventure heading into a cool forested area with views of Annapurna and Manaslu mountain range, the walk continues towards Chamje and Tal villages located on a nice valley after Tal another few hours walk brings you at Dharapani village for an overnight stop.
Dharapani a nice village with Buddhist culture, located at a junction of Annapurna circuit and Manaslu trekking route.
Day 05: Trek to Chame 2,720m – 05 hrs.
After Dharapani walk leads into rhododendron and pine forest passing villages of Bagarchap and Danque, then at Timang village with more Buddhist cultured village including views of
Mt. Manaslu 8,163m / 26,781ft. From Timang village few hours trek leads to Koto and then to Chame town for an overnight stop, Chame a large major town of Manang area and a headquarter town of the district.
Day 06: Trek to Pisang 3,190 m – 05 hrs.
From Pisang onwards walk leads close to mountains through alpine forests of rhododendron and pine trees, following Marshyangdi River upstream with short ups and down hills to Bhratang village. From Bhratang village walk follows uphill through alpine woodland to Dhukure Pokhari a small place with few teahouses and lodge overlooking Chulu’s and Pisang peak, with a possible lunch stop, and then descends to lower Pisang village for an overnight stop.
Day 07: Trek to Manang 3,540 m – 04 hrs.
Morning views of mountains, from here onward altitude gains as the walk lead through the forest with short uphill and views of Annapurna II and III, Gangapurna Chulu’s and Pisang peak.
Walk downhill to reach flat valley at Hongde village, from here onward tree lines fades for barren, arid landscapes with cold, dry arctic climate.
Before Manang, visit old Braga monastery with old Buddhist relics, ancient wall painting and frescos and stunning views of Annapurna Himalaya, from here an hour walk reaches Manang village.
Day 08: Acclimatization day at Manang with short hikes
A necessary rest day at Manang for acclimatization before reaching higher areas to Tilicho Lake and crossing high Mesokanto-la pass, in Manang short hike around Manang village, this is a large village situated on windswept valley by the bank of Marshyangdi River below Annapurna and Gangapurna mountain range, a nice walk uphill for views of Gangapurna Glacier and Manang glacial Lake.
Day 09: Trek to Khangsar 3,734 – 05 hrs.
After Manang village morning walk leads to another highlight of this trip, as our route diverts from main Annapurna circuit trail reaching one of the last village of Manang at Khangsar for an overnight stop which lies on route to Tilicho Lake.
Day 10: Trek to Tilicho Lake 4,140 m – 04 hrs.
From here onwards around the dry and arid country, morning walk on the downhill for some time, then uphill to reach Tilicho Lake for an overnight stop.
Tilicho Lake a holy spot for both Hindu’s and Buddhist religions, offering wonderful views of snowcapped peaks in the comfort of the nice lodge by the bank of beautiful Tilicho Lake.
Day 11: Trek to Tilicho Base Camp 4,800 m – 04 hrs.
After Tilicho Lake, morning walk further to remote areas of Manang valley, after a tough morning walk reaching at Mesokanto-La or Tilicho Base Camp, our highest overnight camp of this adventure at 4,800 meters high.
Overnight camp is set on a nice meadow, with chances of spotting some wild-life like antelopes, musk deer or elusive snow leopard.
Day 12: Trek to Tilicho Base Camp to Yak Kharka (4040m/13020ft): 6/7 hour
Today along and Big Day of this trip! Starting the climb early morn to cross two high passes, over Tilicho pass then downhill walk to the base of Mesokanto pass, after a rest then climb over Mesokanto-la pass with a steep climb to reach the ridge at 5,099 meters.
On reaching the top ridge and the pass descend to our overnight camp in a small place at Nama Phu.
Day 13: Trek to Thinigaon 2,850 m via Kaisang- 07 hrs.
today’s trail will lead you out of Marsayangdi Valley as you leave behind the trees and enter a rather sparsely vegetated area. The trail will pass through Khangsar village and continue uphill alongside Thorung Khola. You will cross a long Mani wall and walk through meadows with grazing yaks to arrive at the temporary yak herders’ settlement in Yak Kharka. You will have a beautiful vista of the surrounding mountains like Tilicho Peak (7134m), Khatungkang (6484m), Chulu (6584m), and so on from Yak Kharka. Overnight in Yak Kharka.
Day 14: Trek to Yak Kharka 4,110 m – 04 hours.
After a good rest at Manang, walk towards Yak Kharka, an interesting high altitude walk with views of mountains, crossing small streams to reach at Yak Kharka, a small settlement with incredible views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Chulu Peaks.
Day 15: Trek to Thorang High Camp 4,600 m – 04 hrs.
Morning walk leads closer to Thorang-la as the walking progress crossing a bridge and then a climb along the Jarjung River, then leading at Thorung Phedi for short rest and then climb the last hour uphill to Thorang High Camp for an overnight stop.
Day 15: Cross Thorang-La 5,416 m and to Muktinath 3,800 m – 07 hrs.
Start the early morning walk on this Big Day! A thrill and highlight of this great adventure, after breakfast a long climb up to Thorang-la with the steep haul to reach at 5,416 m / 17,700 ft on top of Thorang-la festooned with Buddhist prayer flags.
The highest point of the adventure certainly requires high spirit and a strong mind to reach this high point.
The pass rewards breathtaking panorama of dramatic landscapes, snowcapped peaks, from here a long descend to Muktinath at the height of above 3,800 m, a holy spot for both Hindu and Buddhist followers where word Muktinath means
‘a place for Nirvana or Liberation’.
Day 16: Trek to Jomsom 2,715 m – 02 hrs.
This morning our last day of trekking of this exciting adventure, enjoying with a downhill walk to Jomsom town, located above Kaligandaki River Jomsom a large spread out town of Thakali people and headquarter of Mustang areas which are on the famous ancient Trans Himalayan Salt and Caravan Trade Route of Nepal and Tibet.
Day 17: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara 860m. (20 mins scenic flight)
From Jomsom morning transfer to the airport for short scenic flight to picturesque Pokhara for overnight stop by the serene Lake Phewa where most of the hotels and lodges located.
Pokhara, a popular touristic city, where the peaks of Annapurna Mountain range reflects on its beautiful serene lakes of Phewa and Begnas.
Day 18: Drive / Fly back to Kathmandu.
After a marvellous time on high mountains and scenic valley around north of Annapurna Himalaya, morning depart from Pokhara for the drive back to Kathmandu. On reaching Kathmandu check to your respective hotel with the afternoon free for individual activities and shopping.

Day 19: International departure for homeward bound.

Year of 2023 we group of people did a wonderful three weeks Manaslu Circuit + Tsum Valley Trek which is organized by Buna Treks & Expedition Company. This was an amazing experience and the level of service and support we received from the agency and its staff exceeded our expectations. Mr. Rudra director of this company, he is professionals and he is expertise of tourism industry, he advice for us was great and fruitful, each time patiently answered in clear manner all of my questions, the manager Sunita came to airport in Kathmandu for our Arrivals. The way she welcomed us was admired at the very first foot step in a beautiful country then checked in at the hotel. Second day we have done Kathmandu day tour with mit city guide Mrs. Prava, then we had a great dinner meeting with manager Sunita and guide Mr. Bikash. As the guide told us, we packed our stuff. Day 3rd departure from our trek. All Buna crew members Guide Bikash and Porter Chewan, Dinesh, Tholo Dai, have done amazing work. We all were happy to choose your company.

Out of many trekking agency in Nepal, I certainly choose Buna Treks & Expedition pvt. Ltd. For the trek to Gokyo around high Khumbu within Everest region. I have been in Nepal for six times and finally found one of the best trekking agency Buna Treks. Within all the years of experience in Nepal I have used 3 different trekking agency which were not so good and far from my expectations.

I availed Buna Trek’s Kathmandu Valley One Day Sightseeing Tour and it was truly one of the highlights of my stay in Kathmandu. Rudra was a spectacular tour guide and knew the city and its history like the back of his hands. I particularly enjoyed Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath Stupa. The tour was well organized and leisurely paced. The transfer from my hotel to the sites and stopovers were seamless and Rudra was very accommodating and cheerful during the entire trip. Rudra even took the time to accompany in Thamel to explore the area’s nightlife and cultural show. I also got to taste authentic local cuisine as per Rudra’s recommendation, and the food in Thamel was nothing short of fantastic! It was like having a local friend tour you in Kathmandu, making the experience worthwhile and truly memorable. Kathmandu may be a tiny city but its people and culture will wow you big time! And all of these I experienced because of Buna Trek and of course Rudra. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience, I will be back for sure!
