Trip Overview

“Sensational views of an array of high snow-capped mountains, dramatic landscapes, verdant high valleys, Buddhist culture, warm-friendly hospitality of high landers, pristine lakes, breathtaking viewpoints, in the heart of world’s heritage ‘Sagarmatha National Park,,

Lobuche East Peak Climbing along the trekking to Gokyo Cho la pass can be defined as the perfect adventure experience in Khumbu region. Climbing Lobuche East is a bit challenging than climbing Island Peak but the stunning views of snow capped mountains from the summit of Lobuche are like from nowhere else. Along the spectacular views of the world’s highest mountain Mt. Everest, the Tibetan mountain peaks are also seen from the top of the Lobuche peak. The adventure trekking through beautiful rhododendron forests, passing through green valleys, exploring the local culture, tradition, and lifestyle of local inhabitants Sherpas, visiting picturesque monasteries and chortens resembles the Buddhism which they are following since hundreds of years.

Our adventurous Lobuche peak climbing via Gokyo Cho la pass starts after taking a short mountain flight towards Lukla airstrip. We will be trekking towards Phakding and acclimatize properly at the Namche Bazaar. Further trekking for a couple of days we will be arriving at Gokyo passing through the famous Gokyo Cho la pass and perceiving the natural beauty of turquoise Gokyo lake. Following the trekking itinerary, we will be heading towards Gorakshep and hike towards Kala Pattar, the famous viewpoint near Everest Base Camp. Next day after arriving at the Lobuche base camp we will be preparing for the climbing adventure. Finally, we will be ascending towards the summit of Lobuche peak creating once in a lifetime memory. Tracing the same route for 3 days we will trek back to Lukla and board a flight back to Kathmandu.

Climbing Lobuche is considered as an easy grade. However, it is a bit technical than climbing Island peak. You must be in good physical condition and able to take challenges that test you while trekking and climbing at high altitudes. Previous climbing experience is not compulsory but if you have mountaineering experience then it would definitely be added advantage. Join this trip through BUNA treks and expeditions and make your dream of peak climbing and trekking in the Everest region come true.

Tour in Nepal

I availed Buna Trek’s Kathmandu Valley One Day Sightseeing Tour and it was truly one of the highlights of my stay in Kathmandu. Rudra was a spectacular tour guide and knew the city and its history like the back of his hands. I particularly enjoyed Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swayambhunath Stupa. The tour was well organized and leisurely paced. The transfer from my hotel to the sites and stopovers were seamless and Rudra was very accommodating and cheerful during the entire trip. Rudra even took the time to accompany in Thamel to explore the area’s nightlife and cultural show. I also got to taste authentic local cuisine as per Rudra’s recommendation, and the food in Thamel was nothing short of fantastic! It was like having a local friend tour you in Kathmandu, making the experience worthwhile and truly memorable. Kathmandu may be a tiny city but its people and culture will wow you big time! And all of these I experienced because of Buna Trek and of course Rudra. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience, I will be back for sure!
